This week’s tip: TimeTrack can unlock more gains than you might think.

Do you know why TimeTrack works? Could you use the reason TimeTrack works for you in other aspects of your work?

Emily Balcetis is a social psychologist and Associate Professor of Psychology at New York University. Her research focuses on people’s perception of world and how their motivations, goals, and emotions influence it, especially with regards to visual perception.

Her research demonstrates several reasons why TimeTrack works. Setting attainable goals, visual reinforcement each day demonstrating that you are in the GREEN, the dashboard showing gains and framing the work each day in a manageable format.

This week’s tip: You can create direct links to online meetings in TimeTrack.

Do you have an online meeting today? I bet you have more than one. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could put the link in your TimeTrack and simply click and join the meeting? You can. In fact, this will work with online meetings as well as documents.. ..anything on any website.

For PC users, simply add the link when you enter a TimeTrack event. You can do this in the event description box or within NoteTrack. To use the link, follow these steps:

  1. Highlight the link

  2. Right click on the link

  3. Select the go-to option

Thanks to SAM Time Change Coach Laura Zavatkay, Tampa, Florida, for discovering and sharing this TimeTrack function.

The process for Apple users is very similar if using Chrome. It is a little different if using Safari. You can do a modified version on your smartphone, too.

This week’s tip: Be in the Green Every Day.

Are you in the Green today? Most school leaders are back for what looks to be a challenging, interesting and, hopefully, successful school year. To make it successful, especially in today’s new normal, having a plan, TimeTrack in the Green, makes sense.

Having a plan, and meeting with your SAM each day, assures you will look back on this year with pride as you will know you made a positive difference.

Over 200 SAM team members registered for last week’s SAM Coffee Break to review TimeTrack set-up and refresher steps for the new year. Here’s a link to the recording: https://bit.ly/30zaBZb Your password is:!re$3zFv
